Philadelphia - The Drexel women's soccer team returns to Vidas Field on Sunday afternoon with a Colonial Athletic Association match against UNC Wilmington. The Dragons are 1-0 in league play after an impressive win over Georgia State on Sunday.
Drexel defeated the Panthers, 1-0, on Friday night in a driving rainstorm at Vidas. The Dragons outshot GSU, 20-8, and controlled play for most of the game. The defense had one of its best matches of the year and didn't allow many balls to get towards the net. Victoria Trocolli and Eve Badana appreciated that as the pair combined on a shutout. Sam Greenfield netted the Dragons only goal of the game on a feed from Jess Lowinger in the first half.
The Seahawks are 2-5 this season and have spent the last three nights in local hotels due to the weather. UNCW's contest against Delaware on Friday was postponed due to rain. The Seahawks have yet to play a league contest.
