Ben McIntosh Selected in the Eighth Round of the MLL Draft by Denver

Philadelphia - Drexel senior Ben McIntosh was selected in the eighth round of the Major League Lacrosse draft on Friday night. The midfielder was picked by the Denver Outlaws with the 62nd pick overall.
McIntosh was recently named a Preseason Second Team All-American by Face-Off Yearbook. He was an Honorable Mention All-American a year ago after having a stellar offensive season for the Dragons. He had 38 goals as a junior and finished the year second in the CAA in goals per game. He also had 18 assists for 56 points, placing him second in the CAA in points per game. McIntosh led the CAA with six game-winning goals and had eight goals on man-up situations.
Last season, Drexel finished the year with an 11-4 record. The Dragons were ranked 18th in the last USILA Coaches' Poll. Drexel begins the 2014 season unranked and will face the University of Virginia at Vidas Field on Feb. 15 in the season-opener. The Cavaliers are ranked ninth in the Face-Off Yearbook Preseason Poll.
