LEWISBURG, Pa. - Behind a hat trick from Rachel Sumfest the Drexel field hockey team got back into the win column with a 6-0 win at Bucknell on Sunday afternoon. Mary Lynam, Jenna Knouse and Idrienne Walker also scored for the Dragons as they improve to 7-4 on the season.

Sumfest had eight points on the afternoon, which is tied for the second highest total in progam history.

Sumfest got the Dragons on the board in the 11th minute when she put one home a shot after forcing a turnover at the top of the circle and beat Shannon Keen in the Bison goal one-on-one. The goal is the senior's sixth of the season. As the first half came to a close Sumfest recorded her second of the game when she put home a rebound that came the post after a shot from Allyson Fuller hit the post.

Just over 10 minutes into the second half Sumfest completed her hat trick when she beat Keen from 10 yards out on the right wing. In the 54th minute Walker put home her second of the season from five yards out to make it 4-0 in favor of Drexel. Knouse made it 5-0 Drexel with her second of the season, Lauren Hibshmann and Sumfest with the assists, in the 68th minute.

Lynam completed the scoring when she connected on her third of the season. Karleigh Beane and Sumfest had the assists on Lynam's tally.

Jantien Gunter recorded four saves for her seventh win and fourth shutout of the season. Gunter now has 35 wins and 15 shutouts in her career.

The Dragons return to action on Friday, October 10 at 7 p.m. when they open CAA play with Hofstra at Buckley Field.
