Golf Finishes Season With a Seventh Place Finish at CAA

The Drexel golf team ended the 2013-14 season Sunday afternoon with a seventh-place finish at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.
Drexel struggled on the fianl day at the Founders Club - St. James Plantation. The Dragons had a 309 on the final day to finish with a 930 in the 54-hole tournament on the par-72, 6,784-yard course designed by P.B. Dye. Chris Crawford ended the tournament with a 223, seven shots above par. The sophomore tied for eight overall. Vincent Anagnos, in his final tournament as a Dragon, shot 77-77-78 over the three days and had a 234. Yoseph Dance turned in the best round of any Dragon on Sunday. The first-year player fired a 73. He finished at 234. Senior Ben Hinge carded an 84 in his final round and had a 241 for the weekend.
The College of Charleston won the event in its first year in the league. The Cougars, who shot even par on Sunday, had an 874, seven shots better than second-place Towson. William & Mary, UNCW and James Madison rounded out the top five. Delaware was six shots better than the Dragons, who finished 17 shots ahead of Hofstra.
