PRINCETON, N.J. – The Drexel men's soccer team concluded its season on Tuesday as the Dragons fell at Princeton, 4-0. Drexel ceded a pair of goals in the 25th minute to fall behind and could not make up the deficit, ending its season 3-15-1.
The Dragons were outshot 17-8 on the evening as Princeton's offense overpowered Drexel and kept the pressure on throughout. Colin McGlynn, who finished the season as the Dragons' leading scorer with four goals and nine points, was the only Dragon to get off multiple shots. Meanwhile Erik Alexandersson, Francisco Rodrigues da Palma and Bayley Winkel got shots on goal. Jacob Jordan had four saves, but was beaten for all four Princeton goals.
Princeton took the lead in the 25th minute when Brendan McSherry scored from the corner of the box off a feed from Josh Miller. Just 43 seconds later, Jack Hilger put the Tigers up by two with his first goal of the season.
The Tigers would add a third goal just before halftime, Harry Heffernan's first of the year with just 1:00 to play before intermission. Their fourth and final score came in the 64th minute, off the foot of Daniel Bowkett.
