Crawford Receives National Ranking as Dragons Head to UNCW

Philadelphia - The Drexel golf team will play in its final tournament before the conference championships. The Dragons will visit Wilmington, N.C. where they will compete with UNCW in a dual match as a final tune-up before beginning the CAA Championships Friday morning at St. James Plantation in Southport, Va.
Drexel junior Chris Crawford has received a national ranking for the first time in his career. He becomes the first Drexel player in a decade to be ranked. Crawford entered the rankings last week at 232 and this week he is 217th on the Golfstat Cup Standings. The Bensalem native has already set the school record by winning six tournaments in his career. He is also ranked 276th in Golfweek's Individual Collegiate Ranking.
The teams will be playing a Ryder Cup style match. There will be one singles match, a foursome match featuring alternate shot and a fourball better ball match. This will take place at Cape Fear Country Club, a Donald Ross design, at one of the oldest private clubs in the state of North Carolina.
