Women’s Swimming and Diving Falls to Georgetown

RESULTS
WASHINGTON – The Drexel women's swimming and diving team fell to the Georgetown Hoyas on Thursday evening from McCarthy Pool in Washington, D.C., 168-127.
Rachel Bernhardt won three individual events in the meet. The junior took first in the 100 breast (1:05.05), 200 breast (2:23.34) and 50 free (24.30). Her 100 breast time broke Georgetown's pool record.
Charlotte Myers also turned in good times for the Dragons on Thursday. Myers won the 200 fly with a time of 2:10.41 and finished second in the 100 fly at 58.88.
Gillian Gress won the 200 back as she touched the wall at 2:07.53.
Aubrey Murray took second in both the 100 and 200 free with respective times of 53.70 and 1:56.56.
Miranda Rouse had three second-place finishes for the Dragons. Rouse had times of 5:14.54 in the 500 free, 10:44.26 in the 1000 free as well as the second fastest time in the 200 IM at 2:11.02.
Jaclyn Goulet had the top dives for Drexel. She finished third in the 1m board with a score of 191.47 and second in the 3m at 208.57.
The Dragons will now host Lehigh during Homecoming Weekend on Senior and Alumni Day on Saturday, Jan. 30. This marks the final home meet of the year. Action begins at noon from the Drexel Pool in the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
