
No. 9 Drexel Sinks No. 14 Navy, 7-2

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 9 Drexel men's squash team (2-0) gave the No. 14 Navy Midshipmen (7-1) its first loss tonight as the Dragons' won their home opener by a final of 7-2 from the Kline & Specter Squash Center on Wednesday evening.
Drexel got wins from the top-six positions and the ninth spot to secure the victory over Navy.
Playing from the No. 1 position for the second night in a row, sophomore Bransten Ming defeated Navy's Jack Herold in sweeping fashion, 11-7, 11-3, 11-9.
In the No. 2 spot, fellow sophomore Omar El Atmas improved to 2-0 win a win over Senen Ubina, 11-7, 11-4, 13-11.
Freshman Lucas Rousselet earned his second three-game sweep of the season on Wednesday over Dylan Sweeney of the Midshipmen, 12-10, 11-5, 12-10.
Senior Michael Thompson dropped his first game to Will Walker of Navy, 11-13, but came back to win the next three, 11-5, 11-5, 11-3, for the comeback victory.
In his first match of the young season, junior Atticus Kelly cruised past Owen Davis for the 11-9, 11-4, 11-4 defeat. Fellow classmate Luke Willemse had a similar win over Jamie Kjorlien, 11-7, 11-4, 11-2.
At the bottom of the ladder, sophomore Royston Raymond defeated Reed Whitney after he lost the first game, winning by the eventual 5-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8.
The Drexel men will now prep for Columbia in New York on Saturday, Nov. 19 and Trinity and Bowdoin on Sunday, Nov. 20 in Connecticut.
