No. 6 Men’s Squash Falters Against No. 4 Harvard on Friday

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 6 Drexel men's squash team (6-3) fell to the No. 4 Harvard Crimson (2-0) by a final of 7-2 from the Kline & Specter Squash Center on Friday afternoon.

Junior Luke Willemse won one of the two matches on the day for the Dragons. The South African native downed Harvard's Dylan Murray from the No. 6 position, 11-7, 3-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-8.

In the last match to end, sophomore Omar El Atmas defeated Saadeldin Abouaish from the No. 1 spot, 11-13, 11-6, 11-8, 13-11, to give the Dragons' a second win.

In the only other five-game match in addition to Willemse's, junior Joshua Hughes had a 2-1 lead on Bryan Koh of the Crimson from the No. 7 position, but dropped the final two games as he lost by a 8-11, 11-8, 3-11, 11-4, 11-9 final.

The Drexel men return to action in upstate New York next weekend. The Dragons first take on Rochester in Rochester on Friday, January 20 before Cornell in Ithaca on Saturday, January 21 followed by Hobart in Geneva on Sunday, January 22.
