
Men's Rowing Rows to a Victory Saturday Against Columbia Lightweight

LEONIA, N.J. -- The Drexel men's rowing team closed out its final tune-up before the Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday morning with a win by the third varsity eight against Columbia's lightweight crew at Overpeck Park in Leonia, N.J.
Racing against Columbia's third varsity eight, the second varsity eight raced to a winning time of 5:46.1 in the Sandra Lee Sheller II boat. The Dragons freshmen eight, in the Joseph Greipp boat, took second at 5:50.1. Racing in the Lois Krall II shell, the Dragons' top boat finished 4.7 seconds off the Lions' pace, the second varsity eight, racing in the Lois Krall boat, went sub-six at 5:59.5 to finish second.
Drexel's women are in Worcester, Mass. this weekend for the Eastern Sprints on Sunday.
The Dragons return to action on May 12-13 as they race for their fifth consecutive Dad Vail Regatta title.
