Dragons Head to Vermont to Play in the Quechee Collegiate Challenge

Philadelphia - The Drexel men's golf team heads to New England for the weekend as it plays in the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge. The tournament, which is hosted by Dartmouth College, will be played on Saturday and Sunday in Quechee, Vt., which is approximately 50 miles south of Montpelier.

This fall 14 schools will participate in the Challenge. Drexel and Dartmouth will be joined by league Brown, Bucknell, Central Connecticut State, Fordham, Hartford, Harvard, Holy Cross, Princeton, Rhode Island, Siena and Temple. The teams will play 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday on The Quechee Club's Highland Course. Rhode Island is the defending champion.

Drexel will have a young group making the trip to New England. Aaron Fricke and Adam Mistretta are the only two upperclassmen playing this weekend. They will be joined by a trio of freshmen who qualified this week. Jeffrey Cunningham from West Palm Beach will make his Drexel debut this weekend. He will be joined by Angelo Giantsopoulos and Ethan Mangum, who both saw their first collegiate action last weekend at Cornell.
