No. 8 Women's Squash Falls to No. 5 Yale in Howe Cup Consolation Semifinals

HARTFORD, CONN. – No. 8 Drexel women's squash team fell to No. 5 Yale on Saturday morning in the Howe Cup consolation semifinals, 9-0.
Performance of the match came from Stephanie Ryan who held her nerve to take a close first game. The Yale opponent, Riya Mital, picked the pace up in the second game, taking it 11-3. In the third game, Ryan lifted the ball brilliantly, upsetting her opponent's rhythm. The fourth game was neck-and-neck throughout as the game reached 9-9. Unfortunately, Ryan could not push on from here as Mital took the game and the match to the fifth game. In the fifth game, Mital stepped up her pace and volleying and took the game 11-3.
Drexel will continue action tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. as it takes on Penn for to No. 7/8 position in the nation.
