PHILADELPHIA – Junior Linda Rush of the Drexel softball team was named a 2019 Softball America All-American Honorable Mention on Wednesday afternoon. The news, which marked the first-ever All-American teams from Softball America, was announced via an SA press release.
LINDA RUSH / SOFTBALL AMERICA ALL-AMERICAN HONORABLE MENTION
Linda Rush was named an All-American for the first time as she was tabbed an Honorable Mention by Softball America. Earlier this month, she was named to the 2019 NFCA All-Region Second Team for the third-straight year after picking up the honor as a freshman and sophomore. In her junior campaign in 2019, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native set numerous school and conference records and finished ranked among the highest in the nation and conference as she was named All-CAA First Team for the first time. The junior completed her third campaign with a slash line of .423/.520/.873. She also finished with 80 RBI and 71 runs, both CAA single-season records. Her .423 batting average, 189 at-bats, 71 runs, 80 hits, 19 doubles, 22 home runs, 80 RBI, 165 total bases, .873 slugging percentage and 38 walks all set school single-season benchmarks.
