Arthur Matches Own Ghanaian Record at 2019 FINA World Championships

GWANGJU, South Korea – Competing for Ghana at last week's FINA World Championships, Drexel rising senior Jason Arthur turned in a record-matching performance in the mixed 4x100 meter medley relay last Wednesday.

Swimming the first leg of the relay, Arthur clocked in a split of 56.52, matching the national record he set in the 100 back last year at the Commonwealth Games. The relay team turned in a time of 4:21.40 to finish fourth in its heat.

Arthur also competed as an individual in two events, the 50 back and 100 back. In the 50 back, he touched the wall in 26.84 for a second-place finish in his heat. He also finished sixth in his heat in the 100 back, turning in a time of 56.86.
