Women’s Basketball Continues CAA Play at William & Mary on Saturday, Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel University women's basketball team (5-2) returns to CAA play this weekend by traveling to William & Mary (4-5) on Saturday, Jan. 16 and Sunday, Jan. 17 from Kaplan Arena in Williamsburg, Va. Both games tip at 2 p.m. each day.
Drexel play-by-play announcer Ari Bluestein will have a free radio call. The game will also be streamed on FloHoops.
HISTORY
The Dragons and the Tribe have met 43 times since their first meeting in the 1989-90 season. Through 43 games, the Dragons are 29-14 and have won the last three matchups. The most recent meetup on Feb. 21, 2020 ended in overtime as Drexel extended its winning streak to 12 games last year. Keishana Washington tied a game high of 25 points in the effort, including 10 points in overtime.
LAST TIME OUT
The Dragons were on the road at La Salle on Wednesday night. Drexel was led in scoring by Washington, who finished with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. For the fourth-straight game and longest in her career, Maura Hendrixson put up double figures with 11 points. Hannah Nihill finished the game with nine points and led the Dragons in assists with six.

Sydney Wagner, the Tribe's leading scorer, finished with 11 points on Saturday and 31 points (seven three-pointers) on Sunday.
