Men's Lacrosse Names Captains For 2022

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Brian Voelker has announced the team's captains for the 2022 season. Aidan Coll, Brennan Greenwald and Sean Quinn earned the honors as the Dragons look to defend their Colonial Athletic Association championship.
Coll, a fifth-year senior from Litchfield, Conn., had a breakout year for the Dragons in 2021. He led the team with 33 goals. Seven of those goals came in the CAA Championships. Coll scored four times and had five points against the Minutemen and had a hat trick in the title game against the Pride.
Greenwald, a fifth-year senior from Newport Beach, Calif., started all 13 games for Drexel. An underrated defender, Greenwald had his best season in 2021 as the Dragons had one of the most improved defensive units in the CAA. He also chipped in with 24 ground balls, eight turnovers and on the offensive end, Greenwald chipped in with three assists.
Quinn, another fifth-year senior, was named a First Team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection on defense. The Summit, N.J., product led the team with 21 caused turnovers and led all non-face off men with 41 ground balls. Quinn added a pair of goals, both coming in the CAA Championships. He was taken in the fifth round by the Philadelphia Wings in th 2021 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.
The Dragons are coming off their second CAA championship. They finished the 2021 season with a 10-3 record and a 6-2 mark in CAA play. The Dragons rattled off nine straight wins before narrowly falling to fourth-ranked Notre Dame, 10-8, in the NCAA Championships.
