The Leopards came out swinging from the start, outshooting the Dragons 16-2 to take a 2-0 lead into the half. Lafayette's offense continued to fire on all cylinders in the final 30, netting five additional goals while holding Drexel scoreless through 60 minutes of play.
Drexel goalkeeper Megan Hadfield came close to tying her career save numbers, tallying 13 saves on 21 shots faced. Emily Owens drove the Dragons offense with three total shots and two on goal.
DU is set to play a pair of road games next weekend starting with a Friday afternoon contest against CAA rival JMU followed by a Sunday morning matchup with UVA.
