Men's Rowing Competes in Two Races on Saturday

The Drexel Dragons' men's rowing team sent three boats to race against The Naval Academy on Saturday and also had a few boats competing here in Philadelphia. In their first official race of the season, the Dragons faced windy and choppy conditions. The Naval Academy swept the Dragons in all three races in Annapolis.

The Drexel men's varsity 8 (A) faced Lehigh University at home on the Schuylkill River. The Dragons defeated the Mountain Hawks in a competitive race (5:56.73), with the first Drexel boat coming in at a time of 5:53.6. The Mountain Hawks held an early lead throughout the first 500 meters, with the Dragons overtaking them in the third 500 meters.
