Women's Swimming Finishes Final Day of CAA Championships

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Drexel women's swimming team finished the third and final day of the CAA Women's Swimming Championships on Wednesday.
In the 100 free, Ryann Styer and Lera Nasedkina both advanced to the final heats. For Styer, she moved on to the B-Finals after touching the wall in 51.95. That time placed her in 14th. Nasedkina finished the preliminaries with a time of 50.42, the third-best time. In the finals, Styer swam the event in 51.90, placing her in 14th. For Nasedkina in the A-Finals, she finished her race in 50.71 and placed in fifth.
The final event of the night was the 400 free relay. Nasedkina, Styer, Lauren DiCamillo and Victoria Palochik placed sixth for the Dragons by touching the wall in 3:28.04.
With the women's championship over, the men's swimming team is set to start their portion of the swimming championships. The preliminaries will begin at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, and the finals will pick up at 7:25 p.m. Both the preliminaries and finals can be watched on FloSports.
