Dragons and Huskies Battle in CAA Semifinals on Monday Night

HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Drexel men's basketball team is one win away from playing in the Colonial Athletic Association championship game. The Northeastern Huskies stand in the way and will be the Dragons' opponent on Monday night in Harrisonburg. The teams will meet at the Atlantic Union Bank Center at 9:30 p.m.
The Dragons played one of their most complete games on the season on Sunday. Four players scored at least 10 points as the Dragons defeated the College of Charleston, 80-75. Zach Walton made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Drexel. Camren Wynter scored 16, while T.J. Bickerstaff and James Butler added 16 and 14 points, respectively. The Dragons drained 11 3-pointers in the contest.
The Huskies, the second-seed in the tournament, picked up a 63-47 win against William & Mary. Sophomore guard Tyson Walker led the Huskies with 19 points, while freshmen Coleman Stucke and Jahmyl Telfort each had 13 points. Chris Doherty had 18 rebounds for NU, including eight on the offensive end.
Drexel enters the game with a 10-7 record. Northeastern finished the regular season with an 8-2 record and is now 10-8 overall. The winner will face either Elon or Hofstra with the chance to advance to the NCAA Championships in Indianapolis.
