Dragons Drop CAA Quarterfinals Match Against Elon, 4-0

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drexel men's tennis team was defeated by Elon in the quarterfinals of the CAA Men's Tennis Championship on Friday afternoon, 4-0.
Elon jumped out to an early lead by taking the doubles point. Sanil Jagtiani and Djordje Janackovic had the lead in the first-seeded doubles match but the match went unfinished.
In the singles matches, the Phoenix took the No. 5 singles flight and the fourth-seeded singles match. The Phoenix clinched the match by taking the first-seeded match. The rest of the matches went unfinished.
"The season has ended and this is of course not the ending we expected," head coach Mehdi Rhazali said. "Despite the adversity we have faced this year, I'm proud of how our guys dealt with the uncontrollable. I'm also very grateful that we had a season. Now it is time to recover and bounce back next year because we will be strong."
