HOW IT HAPPENED
QUOTABLE
"I think tonight's game is indicative of what it's like in CAA play every night. Every team that comes in here and every team we go to play – there's a target on our back. They're going to give us their best shot and I definitely think Northeastern came in gave us a great shot. I think we got knocked down a couple of times, but I think we came back and it just goes to show the leadership on our team." – Head Coach Amy Mallon on the win against Northeastern.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams played an even opening to the game as it was tied 10-10 before a 9-2 run by the Dragons, fueled by baskets from four different players during the final 2:34 of the frame, pushed DU up 19-12 at the end of the first quarter.
- Drexel had to rely on its defense during the second period as it went nearly five minutes without a basket. Despite the scoring drought, the Huskies weren't able to climb closer than 27-24.
- Starting with a trey by Washington with 2:43 to go in the half, the Dragons went on an 8-1 spurt to take a 35-25 lead into the break.
- DU jumped out with five of the first seven points in the third quarter to go up by 13 before Northeastern battled back to 40-34 at the media timeout.
- In an increasingly physical game, Drexel used the free throw line to maintain the lead throughout the end of the third, going 7-for-7 at the charity stripe in the quarter.
- Leading 52-47 with 5:24 remaining, Nihill hit a clutch three with a hand in her face, igniting an 11-3 run to end the game. Keying the closing sequence was the defense of Kate Connolly who had steals on back-to-back possessions with less than two minutes remaining.
