PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's soccer team played the No. 16 ranked Penn Quakers to a draw on the Dragons' senior day, Tuesday. The Dragons and Quakers both scored in the second half to end the match in a lock after 90 minutes.

BY THE NUMBERS

Prior to the match, Drexel celebrated its graduating class of 2022. Included in the celebration was Bennett Detweiler, Daniel Nesseler, Michael McCarthy, David Rylander, Joey Martini, Kyle Tucker, Josh Dubost and Harrison Coron.
The draw marked the first time Drexel had not been defeated when playing a ranked team since the 2014 season when Drexel tied the then-ranked No. 4 New Mexico.
The Drexel defense kept the Penn offense in check for the duration of the match. The Quakers took 13 shots, but only four of those shots were on target. Drexel took nine shots, six were on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Drexel scored the first goal of the match in the 65^th minute. Cesar Banacloy found an opening on the right side of the penalty box and pushed a shot past the Penn goalkeeper. The goal was the junior's second goal of the season. Penn knotted the score in the 71^st minute off a set piece.
