Field Hockey Clinches CAA Tournament Berth

PHILADELPHIA – Natali Foster and Eline Di Leva scored as Drexel shutout CAA rival, Hofstra, in a convincing 2-0 victory on Friday afternoon at Buckley Field. DU completed its third shutout on the year and is 10-5 with a 3-1 record against CAA opponents this season.

Drexel continues its homestand at Buckley Field on Sunday against Northeastern at Noon. The contest will be dedicated to Play 4 The Cure and it will also be alumni day.

- In the fourth quarter, Avery Powell and Taylor Mason's shots off the penalty corner were saved by the Hofstra goalie, but Foster stood at the goal line and scored off a deflection to add to Drexel's lead.
- The Dragons defense kept the Pride off the board with help from Mason on a defensive save late in the contest.
