Men's Swimming and Diving Upended by Seton Hall

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team traveled to South Orange, N.J. to compete against Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon. Despite many standout performances, the Dragons fell to the to the Pirates 195.5-104.5.
Sebastian Smith pieced together a strong day in the pool as the freshman had three top-two finishes. He showed off his ability by finishing first in the 50 free and 100 fly, as well as a second place time in the 100 free. Smith also helped the Dragons earn a second place finish in the 400 free relay along with Oscar Best, Kevin Spear and John Scully.
Sophomore Alessio Gianni also continued his strong start to the season. Gianni finished first in the 200 back, 200 IM and placed second in the 100 back.
On the diving board, it was Will Seely leading the way for the Dragons finishing third in the 3-meter and fourth in the 1-meter.
The Dragons now turn their attention towards the West Virginia Invitational in Morgantown, W.Va. The three-day event begins on Nov. 17 and ends on Nov. 19.
