Patton Wins Bronze; Dragons in Second After Day One of CAA Championships

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team concluded day one of the 2022 CAA Championships at the Chritstiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va. After the first day of competitions, the Dragons are in second place after a bronze medal performance in the one-meter dive.
The conference championships started off in record breaking fashion. Nikita Timoshenko, Kacper Karnik, Paris Raptis, John Scully broke the program record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:27.61. They fell short of third place by a half of a second.
Jack Patton earned the bronze off the one-meter board. He scored a 247.35 to finish in third. Patton finished 15 points above fourth place after his six dives.
Day two of the 2022 conference championship at 10 a.m. on Thursday with swimming preliminaries. Diving preliminaries will follow at 12:30 p.m. and the finals will kick off at 6:00 p.m.
