Dragons Power Past Norfolk State, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's tennis team defeated the Norfolk State Spartans on Friday afternoon at the Vidas Courts, 4-1. With the win, Drexel evens its record at 4-4.
The Dragons won the doubles point after Pierre Humayou and Egor Kirakosov earned a walkover victory and Alan Jesudason and Alex De Sousa downed their top-seeded opponents, 6-2.
In singles play, Jesudason coasted to a victory in the top seed, 6-1, 6-3. To clinch the match, after the Spartans forfeited the sixth-seeded match, was De Sousa in the third-seeded match, 6-1, 6-2.
The Dragons will face their biggest test on Saturday, Feb. 25 as the Tribe of William & Mary travel to Philadelphia, opening conference play. The match is slated for a noon start.
