PHILADELPHIA – Drexel University Head Men's Soccer Coach, Michael Marchiano has resigned from his post to pursue other professional opportunities. Marchiano has served as the school's head coach for the last three seasons.
"We'd like to thank Coach Marchiano for his service and leadership of the Drexel Men's Soccer program," Director of Athletics Maisha Kelly said. "We wish him and his family well in his next venture."
Marchiano led Drexel to a 21-16-9 record during his tenure with the Dragons. Drexel advanced to the CAA semifinals in each of his three years. He helped develop two CAA Players of the Year, including current Philadelphia Union forward Chris Donovan. In his three seasons, Marchiano coached 11 All-CAA performers and two CAA All-Rookie team selections.
The process to identify a new leader will begin immediately.
