Men's Tennis Defeats Navy, 5-2

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Drexel men's tennis team defeated the Navy Midshipmen on Saturday afternoon, 5-2, at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis, Md.
After Navy took the No. 2 match, Drexel received a pair of victories in the top-seeded and No. 3 match. Alan Jesudason, along with Alex De Sousa, topped their opponents, 7-5, while Will Burridge and Hussein El Tawil also earned a 7-5 result.
In singles play, Navy tied the score at one after clinching the No. 1 match. Drexel's Egor Kirakosov finished his opponent in the No. 6 match with a pair of 6-3 sets to give Drexel its lead back. The Dragons extended their lead in the third-seeded match that saw El Tawil finish a pair of 6-2 sets. Up 3-1, Drexel turned to De Sousa, who clinched the match by defeating his opponent 6-2, 6-4.
In the fifth-seeded match, Will Burridge earned a 6-2, 7-5 victory to push Drexel's score to five.
The Dragons travel to Richmond, Va. To take on the Spiders at the Westhampton Tennis Complex.
