Men's Tennis Takes 5-2 Victory Over Bucknell

LEWISBURG, PA – Drexel men's tennis secured a road victory at Bucknell 5-2. The Dragons move to 3-0 on the early season.
The Dragons started strong in doubles, with Will Burridge and Hussein El Tawil claiming a 7-5 victory over Adam Stavrakas and Oscar Bain, while Antonio Franquis and Egor Kirakosov sealed the point with another 7-5 win against Nelson Alapi and Shiv Singh.
In singles, Antonio Franquis gave Drexel its second point with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Alapi. Roman Lafond followed with a hard-fought 7-6, 6-2 victory against Felix Steindl. Will Burridge fought back from a set down to defeat Brendan McDonald 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, clinching the overall win for Drexel. Egor Kirakosov added the final point, battling through two tiebreaks to take down Oscar Bain 6-7 (9), 6-4, 7-6 (2) in a marathon match.
The Dragons have a quick turnaround as they will be in Happy Valley tomorrow to take on Penn State at 2:30pm.
