Dragons to Celebrate Senior Day in Home Finale Against Campbell on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel returns to the DAC for one last time during the 2024-25 regular season on Sunday afternoon. The Dragons host the Campbell Camels on senior day at 2 p.m. The Dragons will celebrate the careers of McCormack, Hodges and Baker. The game is being broadcasted on NBC Sports Philadelphia+ and FloCollege.
Last Time Out
The Drexel women's basketball team extended its winning streak to five games after defeating the Monmouth Hawks on Friday night in the Daskalakis Athletic Center, 75-65. With the victory Drexel (16-9, 12-3 CAA) has clinched one of the top-four seeds in the 2025 CAA Tournament and will receive a double-bye. Also with the victory, Drexel has ensured that it will finish above .500 for the 11th straight season.
Laine McGurk posted a season-high 14 points on Friday night, connecting on five shots, grabbing three assists and tallying three assists. The sophomore also added three assists to her stat sheet.
Chloe Hodges finished the game with 13 points and eight assists. It is the 10th double-digit performance for Hodges this season and it is the fourth straight game where Hodges corralled eight or more rebounds.
It is the first time since the 2019-20 season that five Dragons finished in double digits in one game. McGurk and Amaris Baker paced the Dragons with 14 points each, while Hodges, Cara McCormack and Deja Evans all chipped in 10 or more points. The last time the Dragons had five different Dragons with double digit point totals was on January 12, 2020 against Hofstra. Keishana Washington, Bailey Greenberg, Mariah Leonard, Kate Connolly and Hannah Nihill all scored more than 10 points in the effort.
Scouting Campbell
Campbell enters Sunday's contest with a 17-10 record and a 10-5 tab in conference play.
Campbell has one player who averages north of 10 points per game. Gianni Boone scores 11.3 points per contest and finds all of her success inside the paint. The Camels have five other players who average eight or more points per game.
All-Time Series
It will be the fourth time that the Dragons and Camels meet. and just the second time that Drexel hosts Campbell in the DAC. The first time Campbell visited Philadelphia was on senior day in 2024.
Last Time Against Campbell
Cara McCormack tied a career-high 23 points in Drexel's victory against the Campbell Camels on Friday night in Buies Creek, N.C. Entering Friday night, the Camels held a 10-0 home record. Drexel improves to 14-9 and 10-3 in the conference, while Campbell drops to 15-10 and 8-5 in the CAA.
It was the second-straight 20-point game for McCormack. The graduate student finished the game, connecting on seven of her nine attempts and was successful on five of six tries from deep. McCormack also shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
Deja Evans finished one rebound shy of her second double-double of the season. The sophomore scored 15 points on 7-for-12 shooting. It is the seventh time this season the sophomore has scored more than 10 points.
Amaris Baker capped Drexel's double-digit performers. The senior finished with 13 points on 5-for-13 shooting. Baker also found the bottom of the bucket on three tries from long range.

While the men's basketball tournament will be taking place in Washington, D.C. the women's basketball schedule will shift to a Thursday, Friday slate. For Drexel, the Dragons make its final appearance against Delaware in the Bob Carpenter Center as CAA rivals on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The Dragons complete the regular season on Saturday in Stony Brook, N.Y. against the Seawolves at noon.
