Swimming and Diving Sets Meet Record on Day one of the CSCAA Invitational

OSCALA, FL.- Drexel swimming and diving team earned six top five finishes and broke a meet record on day one of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America National Invitational Championships.

Theo Andreopoulos, Kacper Karnik, Jakub Kwasny, Sebastian Smith finished first place and set a meet record in the 400 medley relay as the team finished with a time of 3:08.82.

Day two will begin Friday morning with preliminaries at 9:30 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m.

KACPER KARNIK

In the 50 breast, Kacper Karnik finished fourth with a time of 24.71.

MEGAN EHRNFELDT

Megan Ehrnfeldt placed 20^th with a time of 24.89 in the 50 fly.

THEO ANDREOPOULOS

Theo Andreopoulos finished fifth in the 50 back, hitting the wall at 22.01.

JAKUB KWASNY

Jakub Kwasny tied for fifth in the 50 fly clocking in at 21.30.

SEBASTIAN SMITH

Sebastian Smith finished fourth in the 50 fly with a time of 21.24.

MARI ALENCAR

Mari Alencar placed 20th in the 50 free, hitting the wall at 23.44

RELAYS

Theo Andreopoulos, Sebastian Smtih, Kuba Kwasny and Petar Pavalic placed third in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:18.03.
