Dragons to Play Delaware in Final Regular Season Game as CAA Foes on Thursday

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel is set to play its final games of the regular season on the road. On Friday, the Dragons make their last appearance in the Bob Carpenter Center against Delaware as CAA rivals. Tip off against the Blue Hens is slated for 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, the regular season wraps up with a contest against Stony Brook on Long Island. The game is slated for noon on Saturday.
Last Time Out
The Drexel women's basketball team could not hold off the Campbell Camels, 56-52, on Sunday afternoon at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The Dragons fell to 16-10 overall and 12-4 in the CAA, while Campbell improved 18-10 overall and have a 11-5 mark in the conference. With two games remaining, Drexel has the second-seed, owning the tiebreaker over Charleston, who also is 12-4 in the conference.
Prior to the game, Drexel celebrated the careers and dedication of Chloe Hodges, Amaris Baker and Cara McCormack.
Baker led the team with 17 points and four assists.
Deja Evans finished the game with 15 points and with a season-high 13 rebounds, for her second double-double of the season. The sophomore also blocked five shots on the day.
Evans has 60 blocks this season, after swatting away five today. While only appearing in 25 games this season, Evans has climbed into the program's career block list as No. 10, overtaking LaTasha Rice, who finished her career with 58. Evans is 15 blocks shy from setting the program's single-season record and is four away from climbing to No. 7 on the career list.
Drexel's loss on Sunday is the only conference loss at home all season. The Dragons finished 8-1 at home in CAA play, which currently leads the conference heading into the final weekend of conference play in the regular season.
Scouting Delaware
The Blue Hens enter Thursday's game with an 11-15 record but have won seven of their last eight games, only dropping a game to North Carolina A&T.
Delaware is a dangerous team that can shoot from anywhere on the court. The team boasts a .355 three-point mark and a .410 average from the floor.
