Dragons to Play Monmouth Thursday

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team will travel to West Long Branch, N.J. on Thursday to face the Monmouth Hawks. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of Drexel Men's Basketball.

LAST TIME OUT
The Dragons wrapped up their three-game homestand with a strong, 64-58 win over the William & Mary Tribe. Kevon Vanderhorst and Shane Blakeney each had 13 points. Vanderhorst shot 50% from the field, sharing the ball with two assists, pulled in a rebound and stole the ball once. Blakeney grabbed six rebounds, five assists and a block to seal the win. Victor Panov dominated the boards, rebounding the ball ten times, including six on defense. The Dragons outrebounded the Tribe, 37-28 and shut down William & Mary's offense, holding them to 36.7% shooting.

ABOUT MONMOUTH
The Hawks are 8-9 (2-2 in conference play) after falling to Hofstra in overtime on Saturday. They are coached by King Rice in his 15^th season. Junior Jason Rivera-Torres leads the team with 16.1 points per game.

THE SERIES
This will be the 20^th matchup between the two schools. Drexel leads the all-time series 13-6. The two teams split the two games they played last season.
