Donnelly Named CAA Defensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Brendan Donnelly of the Drexel men's lacrosse team was named the Coastal Athletic Association's Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. The Dragons defeated Delaware, 11-1 to open the 2026 campaign.
Donnelly helped Drexel jump out to a 1-0 start to the season after tying a career-high 14 saves. The junior and the Drexel defense held Delaware's high-powered offense to just a three percent shot percentage. The Blue Hens found the back of the net once and took 29 shots on goal. Donnelly helped defeat the Blue Hens for the first time since 2021 and helped defeat the Blue Hens by 10 or more goals since 1973.
