PHILADELPHIA – Kalea Calugay and Brendan Donnelly named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of February 3rd–9th.
Kalea Calugay, a member of the softball team, powered Drexel's offense during the UWG Opening Weekend as the Dragons opened the 2026 season with a 3–2 record. The junior appeared in four games and batted .462 (6-for-13) with four runs scored, eight RBIs and three home runs. The Westfield, N.J. native recorded multiple RBIs in three contests, including a pair of three-RBI performances against Bellarmine and West Georgia, leading the team in total bases and run production on the weekend.
Brendan Donnelly, a member of the men's lacrosse team, anchored the Dragons' defense in Drexel's season-opening win over Delaware. The junior goalkeeper tied a career high with 14 saves as Drexel defeated the Blue Hens, 11–1, at Vidas Field. The Audubon, Pa. native helped limit Delaware to a single goal while Drexel held a significant advantage in shots and clear attempts, marking the program's largest margin of victory over the Blue Hens since 1973.
