Women’s Rowing Prepares for Weekend at Knecht Cup

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — The Drexel women's rowing team returns to the Cooper River this weekend for the Knecht Cup. The Dragons will launch five boats in Cherry Hill, including the Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+, 3rd Varsity, Varsity 4+ and 2nd Varsity 4+.
Drexel took home three medals on the Cooper a season ago. The V4+and 2V4+ each collected silver medals, while the V8+ captured bronze. Overall, all five boats reached the Grand Final.
DU will compete against some familiar foes at the Regatta, including CAA opponents Bryant, Monmouth, UConn and Villanova. In addition, the Dragons will face Philadelphia-area rivals Jefferson, Saint Joseph's and Temple.
