Dragon of the Week: 2nd Varsity 8+ and Sciulli

PHILADELPHIA – Olivia Sciulli and the Drexel men's rowing 2nd Varsity 8+ named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of April 21st–27th.
Olivia Sciulli, a member of the softball team, led Drexel offensively in its series win over Towson. The freshman went 6-for-9 (.667) across three games with four runs scored and two RBI. The Swedesboro, N.J. native recorded a multi-hit performance in the doubleheader win and followed with a 3-for-3 effort in the series-clinching victory, reaching base consistently in all three contests.
The Drexel men's rowing 2nd Varsity 8+ posted a pair of victories over the weekend on the Schuylkill River. The crew of Derek Kaiser (coxswain), Oscar Lourie (stroke), Ollie Quinn, Quinn Cooney, Aidan Ionescu, Noah Beaton, Ryan Miller, Charlie Fortner and Maxwell Burget (bow), rowing in Krall III, won its race against Navy with a time of 5:48.59. The group followed with another first-place finish at the Bergen Cup, crossing the line in 5:48.1, more than five seconds ahead of La Salle.
