PHILADELPHIA — The Drexel women's soccer team is set to open their 2026 campaign tomorrow against Philadelphia rival Saint Joseph's. Action from Sean Sweeney Field will kick off at 7 p.m.
About the Dragons
Shannon Grogan enters her first season as head coach of the Dragons after taking over the program in December of 2025. Grogan comes to University City after serving as the Associate Head Coach of the Stony Brook women's soccer program. During her seven seasons with the Seawolves, Stony Brook captured three conference titles and made three NCAA Tournament appearances.
The Dragons return 14 players who saw action during the 2025 season. Liv Brocious led the team with six points, scoring three goals, while Jess Castorina, Annie Clapp, Reese Power and Adriana Salzano each contributed four points each. Power was among a talented freshman class, earning CAA All-Rookie Team honors. Drexel also welcomes seven newcomers, including three freshmen and four transfers, representing five states and two Canadian provinces.

The Hawks hold the all-time series advantage over the Dragons, with Drexel sitting at 2-8-3. The Dragons have won the last two meetings at home, earning the shutout 2-0 win last season at Vidas Field. DU will look to earn their first victory over Saint Joseph's at Sweeney Field.
