PHILADELPHIA – Maya Williams of field hockey and Leah Schnee of women's soccer were named Team IMPACT fellows for 2026-27 and attended a Family Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C., put on by Team IMPACT and the Children's Hospital Association.
"I have spent my time in the last year advocating and spreading awareness of Team IMPACT," Maya Williams stated. "Team Impact has changed my life and overall perspective."
Over the course of the event, the attendees were able to make connections with the children while learning about their stories, hardships, and resilience, and to better understand how they can use their roles as student-athletes to be an advocate
Last Season, Drexel had three teams that were matched with a Team IMPACT Member. Looking ahead to 2026-2027, Drexel will have up to four teams who are matched with a Team IMPACT Member.
