HOW IT HAPPENED
Lafayette started the scoring off a little over five minutes in the game as Maddie Evans teetered the end line before passing the ball to Katie Jackivicz right in front of goal, who put the Leopards up one. Lafayette added their second goal before the first quarter was over as Linda Nova sent a ball into the circle behind the defense where Laila Pasic was able to deflect it in. The Leopards would go up three on a goal from Elsa Wood before the half. After the break, the Dragons would stand tall as neither team would score in the third quarter. Following a Lafayette goal, the Dragons would not give up as Hamers broke through the defense, took the ball to the end line, and passed the ball to a waiting Lemoine, who fired the ball in the back of the net.
