HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dragons started the game looking to attack. Drexel earned the first penalty corner of the match three minutes in. The Dragons would continue the pressure, ending the first half with 10 shots, with five being on net. Despite Drexel's attack, both teams remained even going into the half. The tie would be broken just after halftime as 48 seconds into the third quarter, Nackaerts dribbled through two defenders before firing the ball towards the keeper. The shot hit high off the keeper's pad before its backspin took it into the goal, putting the Dragons up 1-0. The game would remain scoreless until late in the fourth quarter; Villanova would pull their goalkeeper to gain an extra player. The Dragons would capitalize shortly after, as Pili Lemoine would take the ball past the defender and shoot to put the Dragons up 2-0.
