A veteran in the cage…sat out the fall due to injury…a capable reserve for Coach Voelker.
2009: Appeared in one game last season…played one minute at Hofstra and did not face a shot.
2008: Appeared in four games as the top reserve to All-American Bruce Bickford...had a career-high four saves in the win against Saint Joseph’s…played just under 11 minutes in that game…also appeared in games against Lehigh, Lafayette and Sacred Heart…ended the season with six saves and six goals allowed.
2007: Redshirted.
2006: Saw action in just two games…played nine minutes against Robert Morris and eight vs. Sacred Heart, when he made three saves.
Background: Graduated from Boys Latin in Baltimore…was the starting goalie on the third-ranked team in the nation…was also a lineman on the football team…his team won three MIAA Championships…ranked in the top five academically for his graduating class.
Personal: Son of Sandra and Walter Blahut…majoring in chemical engineering.
