Another two-year captain for the Dragons and an All-America candidate on defense…covers the opponents top attackman…one of the leaders on the team…has started all 48 games on defense since arriving on campus.
2009: Named First Team All-CAA for the second-straight season…main cog on a defense ranked 20th nationally in scoring defense and 21st in man-down defense…led the team with 54 ground balls and now has 130 in his career…scooped up five or more ground balls six times, including six against Binghamton.
2008: Selected First Team All-CAA…started all 17 games for the seventh ranked scoring defense in the country…picked up 37 ground balls and had three or more seven times…recorded a season–high five ground balls in the win vs. Hofstra.
2007: Was named to the CAA's All-Rookie Team in his first season…started all 16 games and had 39 ground balls, second on the team…picked up six ground balls in win vs. Villanova and had five or more three times…was a key member of the man-down unit.
Background: Played his high school lacrosse at Malvern Prep…served as captain as a senior when he led Malvern to the state championship…named All-Main Line, All-Area and All-State as a senior.
Personal: Son of Jerry and Marie McCormick…majoring in psychology.
