Scott Ellis arrived in University City in June of 2008 and is Drexel's assistant athletic trainer. Ellis works primarily with the men's soccer, wrestling and tennis teams at Drexel. He handles initial injury evaluation, rehabilitation as well as pre and post practice treatments. Ellis also coordinated the injury tracking software for the department.
Ellis came to Drexel after working as the head athletic trainer at Maryland Sportscare and Rehab and at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick County Maryland. He was in charge of practice and game coverage for both varsity and junior varsity atheltics.
Ellis was the graduate assistant athletic trainer at Indiana State, where he worked with the tennis team, and at Terre Haute North High School in Indiana. He received a master's degree from Indiana State in 2007. The Stroudsburg, Pa., native earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from East Stroudsburg in 2006.
