Jason Mohring recently concluded his second season as an assistant at Drexel. Mohring was named the assistant men’s and women's swimming coach in October 2014.
In his second season at Drexel, the men’s swimming team produced a historic season which saw the squad finish second place at the CAA Championships for its best finish ever. Between the men and women, the program broke 19 team records and seven freshman records as Joel Berryman and Rachel Bernahrdt respective earned the CAA Men’s and Women’s Swimmer of the Year awards from the conference.
In his first season as an assistant, Mohring helped the Dragons earn four titles at the CAA Championship as the program as a whole had eight individuals and three relays teams earn All-CAA honors during the 2014-15 season.
Prior to his appointment at Drexel, Mohring served as an assistant coach at Parkland Aquatic Club and as head coach at Salisbury High School, both in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
At Parkland, Mohring assisted in the development of seven Junior National qualifiers, including a Junior National champion and two--time Olympic Trial qualifier. As the head swimming and diving coach at Salisbury High School, Mohring led the Falcon boys to their third straight District XI AA Championship, en route to a third place finish at the PIAA AA State Championships. Mohring was named the Pennsylvania Boys AA Coach of the Year.
Mohring graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a bachelor's of science degree in sports management and a minor in business. As a student-athlete for the Crimson Hawks, he was a four-time letter-winner and three-time IUP scholar-athlete.
Mohring served as a graduate assistant coach to the men’s and women’s swimming teams at Salisbury University. He graduated from Salisbury in 2011 with a master's of science degree in applied health physiology.
A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Mohring currently resides in Philadelphia.
