Erin DeMarco was named Drexel's Associate Athletics Director for Compliance in April of 2024. DeMarco comes to Drexel after working as the assistant athletic director for compliance at Delaware.
She began working at Delaware in September of 2019 as the assistant director of compliance before being elevated to her current role in July of 2022. During her time, she was a member of the Vision & Mission Project Work Group and a part of GOLD, the Staff Learning & Development Committee.
Prior to Delaware, DeMarco spent three years at Colgate University, first as the assistant director of compliance & student-athlete academic services and then the director. While at Colgate, she was a member of the Third Century Residential Planning Group, Athletics Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Career Services Summer Funding Review Committee and was awarded the 2018 Colgate Staff Individual Excellence Award.
DeMarco has also held multiple coaching positions in collegiate athletics, including a 10-year stint as Bryn Mawr's Head Women's Soccer Coach and Physical Education Senior Lecturer. Before that, she was the head coach for SUNY Oswego from June 2004 to July 2006. DeMarco was the interim head women's soccer coach at Vassar College and was also the assistant men's lacrosse coach and administrative intern at the school.
DeMarco earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health & physical education with teacher certification from Ithaca College in 2001. She was a member of the women's soccer team and is one of just two Ithaca women's soccer players to earn All-America recognition three times. She led the Bombers to four NCAA playoff appearances, including the 1998 national semifinals, and was elected to Ithaca's Hall of Fame. DeMarco also earned a Master of Science degree in exercise and sport science from Ithaca.
