
Dragons and Philly University Battle to Scoreless Tie

Philadelphia - The Drexel men's soccer team traveled across town to face Philadelphia University on Tuesday afternoon and battled the Rams to a scorless tie. Drexel (1-0-1) outshot Philadelphia, 14-5, but was unable to get on the board.
The Dragons held the Rams (0-1-1) without a shot from halftime until the overtime period while firing 11 shots on Philly goalkeeper Ezra Cassell. He made six saves during that time and finished with eight in the game. Drexel keeper Derrec Mongan turned aside all four shots on goal he faced.
Drexel will play at home for the first time this season on Friday afternoon. The Dragons will host the Drexel Invitational Tournament and meet Howard at 7 p.m. Earlier in the day, the Temple Owls will face Rider on Vidas Field. The time for the first match of the tournament is set for 4 p.m.
