Dragons Bounced From Virginia Duals with 27-8 Loss to Kent State

Hampton, Va. - Drexel wrestling dropped a 27-8 decision to Kent State to end the Dragons' run in the 2008 Virginia Duals. The Dragons picked up victories at 125 and 157 pounds but the Golden Flashes swept the other eight matches en route to the victory.

Steve Mytych opened the match with a major decision victory over Nicolas Bedelyon, 13-4. Kent State reeled off a pair of decisions before a major decision at 149 pounds gave the Golden Flashes four more points. Ryan Hluschak stopped the bleeding with a dominating 19-7 major decision win over Nick Dierkis. Kent State rebounded to close the match with five straight victories to advance in the consolation bracket at the 2008 Virginia Duals.

The Dragons return to action on Jan. 18 with a trip to Fairfax, Va. for the CAA Duals.
