Dragons Fall to No. 22 Old Dominion at CAA Duals

Fairfax, Va. - The Drexel wrestling team dropped its opening match of the Colonial Athletic Association Duals to No. 22 Old Dominion, 31-6. The Dragons will resume the CAA Duals on Saturday, Jan. 19 with matches against Campbell and Sacred Heart.
Drexel's Steve Mytych topped No. 12 James Nicholson in a highly anticipated match-up of ranked wrestlers. The junior earned a 6-3 decision to give the Dragons a brief 3-0 lead before Old Dominion reeled off three straight wins, including a win by fall and a technical fall. Senior All-American Ryan Hluschak halted the run with a 6-2 victory over Dan Rivera in the 157-pound match but it would be the last victory of the match for Drexel.
